To create your account, you'll need this information. TxT uses it to confirm your identity and keep your account secure.
*Please note:
- If you don’t have a current Texas DL/ID and you’re 18 years of age or older, you may be able to create a TxT account by providing the rest of the information listed above. Keep in mind, you will only have access to TPWD and TDLR services. To access DPS and TxDMV services, you must have a current Texas DL/ID linked to your account. If you don’t have a Texas DL/ID, you will not be able to access or complete DPS and TxDMV services.
- If you're a minor between 16-18, you can create a TxT account if you have all the information listed above.

Driver license and ID services
Link your Texas driver license (DL) or ID to your account. Then use TxT to:
- renew or replace your DL or ID
- update your address or emergency contacts
- upgrade your learner license to a provisional DL
- surrender your DL for an ID
The Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) determines your eligibility for these online services, so check with them if you have questions.
Vehicle registration renewal
